Posted on Sep 30, 2013 in Economy of God | 0 commentsChapter 2
Philippians 1:19 “For I know that for me this will turn out to salvation through your petition and the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.”
John 14:23 “Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep my word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make an abode with him.”
I. The Spirit is the Transmission of God
A. The Spirit of the Triune God, as the Father, the Son, and the Spirit, is respectively the source, the course, and the transmission of God into man.
B. God the Father is in the Son, God the Son is in the Spirit, and God the Spirit is in us as the constant transmission of all that God is and has in Christ.
II. The Spirit is the All-Inclusive Dose
- Everything we need is in the bountiful and all-inclusive supply of the Spirit of Jesus-Phil. 1:19.
- When we have fellowship with Him in our spirit, all that He is and has accomplished, attained, and obtained become our experiences of Christ for our enjoyment and reality.
III. The Spirit is the Mutual Abode
- As we allow the Lord to live in us we become His abode and He becomes our abode, a mutual dwelling place of God and man-John 14:23.
- If we live in the Spirit by and through the exercise of our spirit, we abide in the Father and in the Son.
